O.G. Sony Android TV - Lost Remote - Factory reset TV - won't go past remote pairing screen. Help?

I've got the original android sony TV from back in the day. Long since lost the remote. Trying to give it to someone since I no longer need it. So, I factory reset it with one of those USB full QWERTY Keyboards that I have hooked up to my other Android boxes.. but now when it first boots, it's asking me to pair the original remote (Original Remote was Bluetooth)

Well I don't have the original remote.

I've mashed just about every button on the "universal remote" but I can't get past the screen.

Anyone have any ideas?

Once you are pass the setup process, you should be able to add any remote via BT, WIFI, or anything else

what kind of "universal remote" is it a bluetooth or ir remote?
