Advice on TV to buy

by SlaughterMachine

I have scratches on my TV, so I'm going to replace it. I want Ambilight and Android TV, so Philips is my only option. I can only fit a 49" (123 cm). Been looking at the 49Pus8303/12 and the 49Pus8503/12, but I can't find the difference when comparing . Would appreciate any input to make my decision easier. Maybe there are better TVs to choose from?

Android tv I would suggest Sony or TCL.

I defenatly wouldn't recommend any philips TV period

Had a Sony for two years. No real problems. Had another recent update. Don't bother with the YouView integration though. I have Philips Hue strip light at the rear so no need for amblight.

Better chroma balance.

They are what we call product clone: same product different SKU number only to avoid retail conflicts

Yes, the difference is only built on margin

My Philips 65put7303 is great. Picture quality is good for me.. run it with hdr or ultra HD 4k and the picture is fantastic.. not that much different to OLED to me.. ambilight is fun.. like to play Spotify and get it to follow the music instead.

The only difference between PUS8503 and PUS8303 is the 45W soundbar on the 8503 compared to only 25W on the 8303. I own a PUS7383 personally and I'm very satisfied by it.

Have you considered buying a Hisense with Android TV
