After the oreo update ( which i desperately want to downgrade from), I cant shut down the mi box. Only restart, or hibernate. This has happened to my grandpas Sony TV, it will only reboot. It happened after the Nougat update. Any help?

In case anyone is curious: In hibernate, the Mi Box 3 uses under 1W of electricity. Over a year, that is less than 40 cents total if left in hibernate 24 hours a day for the entire year.
Probably not a burden on the bank account or power grid.
You can always plug out the power cable.
What purpose would shutting down have? You realise you wouldn't be able to turn it on via a Bluetooth signal from the remote if the device is off and not receiving Bluetooth, right?
Modern devices never truly power down. There's always enough running so that they 'know' what to do when remote commands arrive, or buttons are pushed.
The UI people have decided it's popular now to remove the illusion of turning off a device.
