It runs Android tv? Thats pretty cool - I purchased a Hisense tv a couple years ago for panel quality. Was a bargain, but the built in 'smart tv' OS is terrible. I don't use it but it's still embedded into the set, and have to experience it even to switch inputs... Glad they've moved to android tv
Do you like it?
Are you in the US? I have my eye on this TV but haven't found confirmation that it's coming to Europe. The price seems great, how's the FALD? Do you get a lot of halo effect in dark scenes like some sony TVs do? Is the ethernet port gigabit? Thank you.
Can you download AIDA64 and get the specs?
Did you buy the 65"? It was pulled from Best Buy and Amazon with no info on why
Does this TV support 24hz video on internal apps and external devices like an Xbox One X or PS4?
Good morning, good day, good evening!
Do you have to press a button on the remote control to call up the Google Assistant? Or is it always listening and you can just shout out "ok google"?
Thanks!
I have had this TV here in the States as well for the last couple of months. Overall happy with the price:value ratio, but I have found it to be buggy and I've had to reset a couple of times. After reset, it works great, but I don't feel that I should have to reset as often as I do.
Also, Google Assistant is pretty hit or miss with my Google Home. Sometimes it works amazingly well (love the turn on/off and cast with voice,) but other times Home says it can't find the TV for no apparent reason.
To clarify- There is only 1 physical button on this TV that controls the inputs and I believe can power on/off if you hold it down, so you kind of are in trouble if you lose or break the remote.
Does this TV read NTFS Hard Drive? Video Files...
have you run alot of hdr content on netflix on this tv? how does it perform?
Has the official Amazon Prime video app been released for your Hisense H8F?
Do you have any experience with sports on this TV? Been seeing some conflicting reports on how it handles basketball and football. I'm also coming from the Super4 55 which died on me earlier this summer. Thanks for this thread!
I know I'm replying to this pretty late but how is it for gaming? I am only going to be using it with the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro.. maybe a computer for some light browsing at some point. I mean at $350 the 50" seems like a steal to me no one is talking about.
Do you have any issues with HDR on the set? It seems to flicker whenever I have 4k HDR content that is bright on the screen. I can reproduce it on some games and the Xbox One X Insects HDR demo
Have you been having any wi-fi issues with the H8F? I have a 55H8F that I bought in August. It is having a strange an unbelievably frustrating issue that I haven't been able to diagnose. For some reason, and it seems to be statistically random when it happens, the TV will shut off the wireless card/capability/functionality while the TV is off (or in standby). Five times this week I've been using the TV connected to my home wi-fi, I turn the TV off, and when I turn it back on - the wi-fi setting in the settings menu is toggled to the off position and I get a notification at the top of the screen that "the wi-fi setting is turned off."
Thought I was imagining things at first, but it's happened too many times this week to be a fluke. I've done everything I know to do to troubleshoot - rebooted everything, factory reset the TV, switched the wi-fi connection between the 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands, all to no avail. No other devices in my home are having this problem. I'm in disbelief that there's logic built in to the TV that will enable it to shut off the wireless functionality while the TV is off or in standby without any human interaction whatsoever, but that's exactly what's happening.
Made this because nobody is fucking talking about this TV even though it's apparently selling like gangbusters. Really weird to be honest.
Edit: Can confirm Dolby Vision support on Netflix, haven't really tried any other apps.
Edit 2: PS4 Pro Output Information
Also I can confirm the tv uses 2160p - YUV420 for resolution
Also note I'm only able to display what's supported, there's no option on the PS4 Pro for me to select "24 Hz" Output.
