Hi.
My printer - an old HP laserjet 1018 has only got USB input.
As my Android TV is the only network device in my house that is powered on 24/7 and has got a USB port, I was thinking it would be the obvious choice for a print server in order to share my printer on the network.
Any idea on how to make that work ?
Got printing to work, now it's just a matter of sharing the installed printer - any ideas ?
I haven’t used it all that extensively but here is a terminal/Linux type emulator called “termux” in the AppStore. It got me running the full Linux version of rsync at one point but I didn’t actually test it out too much.
Maybe you could try that out and use some Linux print server software?
You can root it so it's probably possible but I don't think it's going to be easy
