Nexus Player USB powered

I am trying to get my Nexus Player to be powered from USB that is in my TV. I bought 5V to 12V adapter and DC 5.5/2.1 mm to 4.0/1.35 mm adapter and Nexus Player turns on, I can see Android logo and then Oreo launcher turns on. After 2 sec in launcher Nexus Player turns off and reboots. What am I doing wrong?

Not enough current on that USB port.

It sounds like your USB port just isn't supplying enough power for the Nexus Player. I don't think you're going to be able to make this work.
