Try changing power outlet. If this is from a HDMI input source try a diff hi cable. If it gets better with power outlet change then invest in a ac power line cleaner or magnet filter around the power cable. Call sony to start a case and keep all communications documented. If they don't fix it u can call your payment processor to help assist.
i had similar problem but in bottom only, Sony has replaced my tv with new version.
With tv on and using Sony remote Hold power button down for 15 seconds tv will shut down and reboot this is called a forced power reset similar to pulling the power cord buy also clear out cache as well. Does not reset tv to factory settings
Sony pushed out a firmware update (not Android, but actual firmware) that lists this issue as a fix. You may want to check it out.
I have the same issue as what's shown in this YouTube video. The support technician from Sony expects me to do a factory reset, which personally I think is unacceptable when the likely culprit is hardware failing. Anyone know what part I need to replace?
XBR65X930D is the model.
I had the exact TV and got it replaced by Magnolia under the extended warranty that I bought. TV was used for a couple of hours every day for 2ish years. They deemed it a hardware problem. Most likely an LED driver board failure or something.
