Not possible.
I don't think it is possible but you can holding back and home (that's how it re-pairs to MI box) and searching for it on Bluetooth
I just use one of the "kodi" remotes of Amazon that are like $10. Works fine, all I really wanted was something with mechanical volume buttons.
Firestick remote will pair with the nvidia shields
