Nvidia shield is the best android tv box by far.
Thought the discontinued the pro. I have one of each, the pro and the standard 16gig. Although after 2.5yrs I had to change out the hard drive in the pro.
But yes Shields are the best.

A few gotchas:
Be aware Android TV devices are extremely poor for Dolby anything.
Meaning no DolbyVision, none or broken Dolby Audio licensing. (no DD+ > DD only audio downmixing)
Also some old Chipset Android TV devices cannot do 4K HDR YouTube or 4K HDR Play Movies due to being unable to decode Google VP9 Profile 2 video compression codec. (Nvidia Shield)
Not a box, but the new high-end Sony AndroidTv with the latest chipset are the most expensive and can handle all modern codecs
