Hey guys! I just got a Philips Android TV and it is a pretty good value for money, except one (maybe two) things that drive me crazy. It just randomly turns on at night. I have tried almost everything to try stop it from doing this, but it just won't stop. Any ideas how can I fix this? Also, the HBO GO app is showing all the videos in some sort of stretched format, with the upper right corner enlarged to the whole screen.
Well, last night I covered all the IR emitting sources (the remote, the TV, and the Xbox) and it seems like it didn't turn on. So I will see which of these things are causing the issue.
Just thought I'd add I also have this happen to my tv but very rarely. I used to think i was maybe sitting on my remote or accidentally doing it from the harmony app but im definitely not, it just randomly turns itself on maybe two or 3 times once every 20 minutes or so. It tends to only happen once every few months though and its probably only happened only 3-4 times total so not a huge issue for me but a little annoying to have to keep turning off the tv when it happens.
