Install aptoide TV app and side load the one says trusted.
Right now, you'd need to sideload the apk on a MiBox as I don't believe the Amazon Prime app is available on Android TV except for the Shield.
I believe as part of the agreement between Amazon and Google, that Prime Video will eventually be available for all Android TV boxes but I don't think there's an ETA for that yet.
Use APK Downloader Chrome extension from PC to download the APK: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/apk-downloader/fgljidimohbcmjdabiecfeikkmpbjegm?hl=en
and enter this URL: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amazon.amazonvideo.livingroom&hl=en
Then sideload the APK to your device using USB. Working for me on Mi Box 3 in Indonesia.

Ya. What the others have said. You gotta pull the APK onto a thumbdrive and load it manually. Mine works great.
No official app yet (though apparently google and amazon worked out their beef). There is a shield one you can sideload if you search the sub
