Hey there, we recently got a Phillips 4K TV that is running Android TV. I tried to cast from 3 or 4 apps on my Galaxy S8, and from a Chromebook. They say they have connected to the TV, but will not open up what is supposed to be casted. Has anyone heard of this problem and know a solution?
Edit: I also just tried casting from a computer that has an ethernet connection to the router, and connected one going to the TV. Didn't work. Then I reset the modem and the router. Didn't work.
You might need to go into the Play Store on the TV and update the Chromecast app. This worked for me with my Android TV box (Mi Box S) and I was surprised it didn't auto update. Not sure if it's the same thing happening here though.
