Hi All,
Have a mi box 3 and love it... the only issue i have is where it simply won't wake after a day of use with the included remote... (have tried button mashing, waiting 5 secs and hitting power button etc)
Is there a 3rd party remote that works as i believe its the remote not responding instead of the box itself
OR is there a way to permanently leave the box on?

I used to have two Mi Box 3, it worked flawlessly on my TV but sometimes didn't wake up on my mom's TV.
I suspected that it was some bug with the HDMI control protocol so I disabled it on my mom's TV and in that Mi Box, and it never had problems to wake again (of course I had to turn on the TV and the Mi Box separately but that was way better than having it not wake at all).
Could you tell me what is your build version please?
Did you get it working? I found that it actually just require one press of the power button and if it didn't wake it up pressing any other button indefinitely does instead of pressing the power button again (which I guess just puts it back to sleep, hence having to press it once more)
I just replaced the MiBox in my bedroom with another Shield because of this and it freezing while opening apps with the only way to solve either issue being to disconnect the power and reconnect it.
The fix: 3rd party remote, works first time, every time (Logitech harmony) wake issue must be mi box remote related
just disable the sleep feature and dont switch off your mibox3.. only switch off your tv when not in use
