Cannot connect mibox 3 to Android TV app.

Hi guys. I think I'm at a dead end so hopefully someone here can help. My remote that came with my mibox is lost. So I saw I could use the android TV app.

I tried doing so but when I try to pair with the mibox, it flashes the option on screen to pair but I have to click the 'pair' button. I can't do that since I don't have a remote. Is there a way around this or should I just buy a new remote?

You could be able to connect a mouse via USB to help you with that.

It happened to me as well. After an update I decided to factory reset the box and I used the app to set up the box from the get go and it worked. Maybe you can try if you're up for a factory reset. That's the only thing that work for me then
