4k smart tv os only shows 1080p

by ErRaichel

Hey! I bought a cheap cheinese 4k smart tv (Don't judge me it was super cheap) but it's native os (android 7) seems to only support 1080p.

Is there anything I can do to change it before I buy a Mi box s?

Have I been scammed and bought a full hd tv pretending to be 4k?

The model is Pilot PU55S7XL

Wow, what country makes fake Chinese products?

I can read the specs, but I can recognise the resolution for 4K and it doesn't really help you.

Yes an external 4K media box will solve the problem IF the tv is actually 4k.

I'm betting it s not AndroidTV anyway, so might as well get a Mibox.
