I have YouTube kids on android tablet and phone, there I can do a lot more settings regarding content. I can't even set age. The only setting I can choose is "search on/off". Most of the content is for 1-3 years.
Anyone else that has experience the same thing?
Or a recommendation what to use instead? Can't use the regular YouTube unsupervised because my kid is too little for that, anything can come up.
Don’t let your kid use YouTube unless you’re in the room and have direct control over what’s on. You let them sit in front of some baby shark videos and go to make lunch, you’ll come back to a ten hour loop of Caillou screaming. I thought I could let my kid watch cute animals videos, I got back just in time to stop a miscategorized video of a Nicki Minaj impersonator getting their ass eaten. At most make a playlist of videos you’ve seen and approve, give them that.
