My new MiBoxes came in today and I love them. Except one huge con for me personally.
Once the boxes have been powered off for a few minutes, it's like their NICs/network connection goes off. Therefore when I ask Google home to turn them on, she can't find them. I can shut them down via voice, and if i ask to turn them on immediately afterwards they'll come back on. It's like the device falls asleep after X amount of time.
CEC is enabled, and this function also works flawlessly on my Chromecast.
Is there a setting, or workaround that prevents this "sleep" so I can power on the device via voice from Google Home? I use this with a custom routine with my smart home so it's crucial.
Works fine for me. I asked Google Assistant" turn on my Android TV" and it has been flawless. The trick is to set your Android TV device to go into standby and ensure your TV does the same.
