Android tv learning IR Remote that can control volume?

by BillDino

I have an amp setup with my ATV that uses IR for volume. I bought the G20 Remote because I saw it has learning IR but was disappointed to realize it only does learning IR for the power key. Just for fun I mapped volume down to power and it worked but I would like volume up as well. Does anyone have a recommendation for a remote with 2+ learning IR buttons that also controls ATV?

You can get a sideclick if you're using the mibox remote. It's a ir remote that clips onto the mibox remote.

Mele F10 Deluxe works great with my Shield TV. It can map two other IR devices, so I have it set to control my TV and my AVR. Works great.

You sound like the perfect candidate for the Rii MX6 v2 .

I have the same problem with my G20 remote.

I have an old One for All remote (URC 7960) and it's been working flawlessly at controlling my MiBox. Everything the Mi Remote app can do, the remote was able to learn as well.

I don't know how many IR buttons it can learn, but it's a ton of them. At some point I had speakers, MiBox, laptop, TV and a couple of other devices with at least 20 buttons mapped. It can do some split control as well, for instance volume buttons control the speakers, other buttons control another device, etc.
