Hi there, I successfully installed a 3rd party app in my android tv (not downloaded from the play store). The app works well, however it doesn’t show up in the app folder nor I can select it as favourite. In order to launch it I am forced to go in settings-apps and do it from there. Does anyone know how I can fix this. Thanks!!
Install Sideload Launcher or HALauncher .
Non Play store apps won't show up and you can't put them on the front screen
Try TV app repo it creates a apk and you install it and that creates the icon/shortcut

You will have to sideload it also
I use this to organize all my side-loaded apps in 1 convenient place.
Not every app is capable of working with either of the 2 versions of TVAppRepo IME, this makes that a non-issue.
