Simply wanting a replacement remote (even if its a usb based 2.4ghz remote)
I found that my mi box has a wake issue and wont turn on via the remote, so i need a 3rd party remote to fix this issue (hopefully)
Any ideas?

Just use or find an Android phone and download the Android TV app. Works perfect for those remote disconnects. Also search reddit for MiBox sleep settings.
Rii mx6 is the best.
Stop the Mi Box going to sleep in the first place.
There should be CEC options for that and also in ATV OS settings, somewhere in the Screensaver settings, set that to Never.
