I have a shield TV on the main TV. But looking for a cheaper option for the secondary living room and my monitor. Just the basics are needed. TTV, YouTube, Netflix. No need for Kodi as long as I can get Titanium TV. Google assistant/Home is a plus.

Ive moaned about the miboxs in the past but as long as your US based (or at least are not in teh UK and want apps such as teh iplayer) they have now pretty much got the build stable for the basics. The mibox3 and s have little differences as they are both built on the same SoC so the former could be a cheap toe in the water
Just wait for the new shield and move the old one over
I've had shield 2015 on the primary tv since 2015. And a roku on the bedroom. Inherited a mibox3 about a year ago and just never plugged it in.
Recently swapped the roku 3 for a mibox3 and couldn't be happier. The UI is every bit as snappy as my shield and since the bedroom tv is just 1080 I've had absolutely no problems at all in anyway.
