LocastTV sucks during emergency moments.

In Los Angeles it is horrible when we have an emergency. I had the service on all day and the quakes happen and cant even get one channel. I hope they fix this especially in any type of emergency in your city.

Edit Ok getting buffering then blank circle in middle screen. Maybe they should get more bandwidth in a certain area during emergency situations.

Edit 2: OK ABC7 is coming in. BTW the internet is fine while I was trying to get a local channel I was also looking at Live CNN coverage.

Call me a bit paranoid but I would highly recommend not relying on any internet based source for information during an emergency, infrastructure damage or simple server overload can easily interrupt access. The best sources are radio or ota tv. In the southwest many of us have weather radios but theyd work just as good for tuning into an FM (or god forbid am) station for news and information. Am can be helpful here as if it's a major disaster itd be possible to listen to stations far away. Good idea to keep a quick reference of news and information radio stations as well. I primarily rely on hdhomerun for ota access (this covers us during most storms) with an emergency radio in the drawer in case of a major disaster.

Why would you think the internet would be reliable during an emergency? That's when you're supposed to rely on a TV antenna, FM or long range radio.
