What is your favorite Android TV-ready video player?

by foundfootagefan

I've recently started using Nova Video Player instead of Kodi because of how simple and native it is.

However, I haven't seen much discussion on what video players are used by Android TV users. So, what's your video player of choice?

Invunche

Archos Video Player. For its simplicity and better network functionality than Kodi.

EDIT: it seems Nova is the open source continuation of Archos. Nova appears superior to Archos in every way. Thanks OP for showing me Nova.

I actually use MX Player. It also has PIP support now.

Kodi works great for me. Way better than Plex, no buffering or transcoding nonsense. It just works.

Kodi; VLC is okay when the network portion actually functions & isn't FUBAR as it currently is in the latest beta.

I'm using Nova as well. Interface is nice and friendly

Kodi!

elister

Kodi. Be it streaming from a smb share or directly off a flash drive, best media player.

I use Plex to manage and play my media collection (though I'm in the process of moving to Jellyfin). But for just playing a video quickly without having to go through that whole rigamarole, VLC can't be beat.

VLC or kodi

LeOmare

VLC and Kodi
