Sometimes my Netflix doesn't play Dolby Vision

by NavdeepSinghThind

This is happening every alternate time or so and eventually I have to restart the tv to return Netflix back to normal state where it shows DV and 5.1 logos on the supported titles like Our Planet, Stranger Things. Otherwise it shows only HD on literally all titles and plays in shit quality too. I haven't messed with any settings but just you should know I have VU Premium Android (55-OA) which is not optimized for Netflix as it comes with an error code (-14) (but fyi this TV supports Netflix, if not natively, to the fullest as the R&D guys tweaked some shit and got it working and I haven't experienced any problems other than the one I have made this post about) on every app start.

My TV also does this at times, mainly if I switch from my Amazon fire stick to the Netflix app. I believe the Dolby Vision/Audio from both devices/apps seem to conflict with each other. It is actually quite odd and annoying at times.

Here see this it shows like this: https://imgur.com/a/rI7rLZo And this came just after I pressed home button and brought the app to foreground. What is this sorcery?

I have the 43 Inch premium android model and I am facing the same issue.

Another weird issue I am facing. sometimes while playing content from netflix, I am only able to hear audio and there is no video.

Even after turning off ultra smoothing, movies on netflix or other apps still gives that soap opera effect which is just so bad. I purchased the Tv just to watch Movies and Tv Series.

Hey Guys, I am using Vu Premium Android with Cricekt Mode(43-OA) and on using Fire TV Stick 4k I am getting solid green bar at bottom of the screen

  1. Automatic(upto 4K)+Always HDR - Constant Green Strip at the bottom for everything, even on Fire Stick 4k home page

  2. Automatic(upto 4k)+Adaptive HDR - Green Strip appearing at the bottom only on playing Dolby Vision content on Netflix and Prime Video

Tried to play Dolby Vision content from Netflix tv app and it is working fine.

Tried to plug in PS4 PRO and even that played all the content fine, not sure where the problem lies.

Any Suggestions?

Did you ever solve this? Having the issue on a Hisense 58H6550E. Seems to affect Disney+ as well.

I don't understand the downvotes. Are you high?
