Hi, need a bit of help. Is there any possibility to turn on TV to homescreen as default, because device link is enabled and every time I turn on TV it switches to last used hdmi input and instantly turns on the system which is connected, like Apple TV or ps4 pro.
Oh yes, I hate this behaviour. I wish I could manually set the start up input. For me it splashes into the Dashboard/LeanbackLauncher first, and just as I'm about to open YouTube or Netflix it switches to the last HDMI input (Xbox), and that gives me a black screen.
I do have a solution though, but it requires a lot of work. I have set up Home-Assistant to talk to my TV via a Python script that can open apps. It's then controlled by Alexa, so I just say "Alexa, turn on YouTube" and it powers on the TV and opens the YouTube app.
Can you turn it on using the Home button on the remote? That works on mine
No because the input display is faster than bringing up the home screen on purpose
Can't you out it on a different input before switching off?
