After the recent update to Android TV 8, everytime I fast forward a YouTube video, the screen will flash black, crash, then it will attempt to boot and just loop.
I have to manually unplug the power and plug it back to reboot. Is anyone else experiencing the same issues?

I had the same issue. Go into apps then click on the YouTube app... clear cache then clear data. Then uninstall the YouTube app then restart the MiBox. Then go to play store and reinstall the YouTube app. This fixed it for me. No need to do a factory reset.
Had this problem with official YT app on Mi Box before. Switched to Smart YouTube TV and never had any problem with fast-forward and rewind anymore.
No but mine said Power Off and went into Android Recovery while playing Geforce Now on Nvidia Games.
All you can do is factory reset or try to get a new one. Maybe there's a way to downgrade it? Seems like a hassle for a low end product though.
