I find what I want in YouTube and share to New Pipe to listen to it. Copes with subscriptions etc but I haven't bothered yet.

What is it you need to accomplish that you can't do in the app?
I would just like an app without the silly login pop-up with my name in it and a proper full black mode (I use high contrast but it's not enough)
