Title - would like to create a shortcut to run a bash script directly from home screen. Could perhaps run as an argument of Termux?
Thanks!

I have used:
Tasker: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.taskerm&hl=en
Tasker App Factory: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.appfactory&hl=en
Android TV App Launcher Builder: http://atvlauncher.trekgonewild.de/
to do something similar. Not running a bash script, but to send commands to my Home Assistant server. Tasker I believe can run bash scripts so you should be able to do the same thing.
Use Tasker to execute the script. Tasker App Factory creates an apk from the Tasker Task that can be installed on the Shield, and then Android TV App Launcher Builder creates a wrapper Android TV app that can be added to your Favorites on the Shield launcher.
