I know there are capture cards that you can use with software to record video and schedule but you need extra software or a PC.

I also have seen devices that capture HDMI video and record it to a USB HDD but they are all manual. Can't schedule recordings.

Since there is no IPTV software for Android with good recording capabilities yet. I was wondering if there is a device that will record any HDMI input, one that does not care about copyright or HDMI protection and will even work if you setup a schedule?

The Nvidia Shield has a built in recorder which works amazingly good but can't schedule. Basically I want something that will record whatever is happening on the screen even if the stream stops or freezes and that can be setup on a schedule
