I recently got a Philips Android TV, aside from my Shield, but I can’t get it to read my hard drive. My hard drive shows up but the OS says it is Corrupt. My drive is absolutely fine when used on my computer. Works on my Shield TV just fine also.
It is a WD 4TB NTFS, I have 50PFL5604/F7 as my TV.
Update (07/26/2019): Tried using a 2TB drive and I got an unsupported notification from the TV. Drive was in NTFS, from computer I reformatted it to exFAT and still unsupported. Allowed TV to reformat and it picked FAT32.
Looking at this post , they talk about how NTFS support broke in Oreo. They are also referring to a different Philips Android TV model but doesn't make sense that Philips would support different Formatting on different TVs. So I believe my model should support NTFS, is a possibility it is broke in Oreo?
Not all Android TV devices support the NTFS file system.
