No sound from Youtube and Spotify App, netflix works

Hey guys,

i recently got my first Android TV a Philips Ambilight 50PUS7504/12 and since a system update.I will always loose audio from my youtube or spotify app as soon my device was in a deep sleep mode (turned off for 8 hours )

Everything else works fine Netflix, HDMI Source. I have tried:

  • Deactivating and reactivating the tv speaker which doesn't help.
  • Resetting the TV to default settings. Which helped but is a poor permanent solution
  • removing TV from power socket and reattach it after few seconds, worked but is also a poor permanent solution

I wonder if anyone else had such trouble and maybe knows a fix to that problem, I really don't like sending the tv back...

UPDATE: Phillips will fix this issue in the upcoming update coming next week (calendar week 33).

Okay found out it happens as soon the device hits Deepsleep mode
after that Apps like twitch, youtube, chromecast and Spotify won't be able to access the TV speakers

Turn TV off for 35~ minutes
Turn it back on and now said apps won't play any audio.

Im also in the talk with the customer support and will update the thread if it works again.

Update: newest Update fixed all those issues

Oh! I was about to lose my mind. I just saw your post. I cannot believe this is happening to me. I paid 800 euro for this stupid TV and it just keeps giving me problems since I bought it. It also changes picture settings and motion settings by itself everytime I change the app. Never ever Philips again.
