YouTube casting on PS4 is done through DIAL, not Chromecast built-in.
It's not though, maybe Youtube works through an old api
Plex and YouTube work, doubt about other apps
Even if it was (it's not), why are you posting about it in this sub?
You're actually using DIAL , which was created by Netflix, YouTube, Samsung, and Sony. Chromecast initially used this protocol but switched over to mDNS shortly after release. Google kept the DIAL compatibility in the apps so you'll still be able to have Netflix and YouTube "cast" with the cast icon. It is technically not 'Chromecast Built-in', though. So it's a bit misleading to call it that.
You might want to do a bit more testing on your theory.
You can cast YouTube to the PS4 when you have the YouTube app installed but nothing else (last I checked anyways).
