Built-in Chromecast issues

My built-in chromecast was working perfectly until I moved. Previously I could cast with no issues but now I have to connect/disconnect my Mac and my tv until it works.

Using one of the latest versions of chrome. Things that have changed since it was working: new router, maybe a tv update and I believe I updated the chromecast app, but I don’t remember. Not sure which version my tv is running.

Any ideas?

On the TV go to system apps and funny Chromecast Built-In and uninstall updates there. That might help.

I've traced pretty much all issues with casting to crappy routers which eat Chromecast broadcasts and cause devices not to find reach other.

Can you look though your router configuration and disable client isolation (if on) and see if you have any multicast restrictions on or broadcasts disabled?
