Apologies if this has been posted about before... I came across a TV a few days ago running Android not Android TV. Worse it was running Android 4!!.Please anyone be aware this happens. Really concerning though.

Some cheap knockoff brand, no doubt. You get what you pay for. If it's a decent TV at a decent price (i.e. very low); just get a separate Android TV box and never use the builtin in apps.
The problem is that most of the TVs that pull this crap cut corners everywhere .
