Do you think Apple will put it's new Apple TV app on Android TV?

by Kenzibitt

I remember not hearing any statement with Google or Android in it and most articles don't mention it either. It kinda makes me doubt it will ever happen but will be damn proud if it does just for my iTunes movies sake. So what do you guys think? Any way to hope?

Who knows. I thought it was in Apple's interest to offer their service on all major platforms since they are trying to transition into a service company and they would eventually bring it to Android. But seeing rumors like $10 subscription with four original show at launch makes me question if Apple is even concerned with reaching wider audience with their service. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

No. But you gave me a chuckle, so thanks for that.

They’ve confirmed it for Sony TVs and Fire TV, so I guess it’s possible. Nothing confirmed as of yet though.

You might see it bundled in Sony Android TVs I'd imagine, like how Amazon Prime is/was exclusive to some Android TV devices (like Sony TVs among others).

A week ago I would have said no, but Apple Music is on Chromecast now so who knows.

I think for your iTunes movies or some other services you can use Movies Anywhere https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.moviesanywhere.goo

They won't put iMessage on the playstore, so I highly doubt it. I would gladly pay $100 for iMessage. I hate that I can't get video that is watchable sent to me from an iPhone.

F Apple

Nope. Apple is too invested in a Walled Garden approach to, well, everything they do.

It'll probably be exclusively on Apple products for the first few years, until they've optimize device sales and need to pivot and feed the subscription beast instead. I mean, they only just announced Chromecast support for Apple Music, which launched 4 years ago.
