Intel PC - Install Android TV

by tenrehte

Hello all,

I have an old PC laying around so I thought I would give it a go to install the 'Geek til it hurtz' Android x86 build of Nougat 7.1

I have created my USB using Rufus as instructed from the YouTube video.

Now I boot the PC into the USB, choose Install to Hard Disk... And it just sits on "Detecting Android-x86..............."

Nothing more! Any ideas what the issue could be?

By the way this is a touch screen all in one that I am just using for testing purposes.

Thanks!

This fork of Android TV for x86 hasn't seen any update for a couple of years. Try PrimeOS ( https://primeos.in/ ). It seems to be a popular choice lately among people who are into running Android on x86 system:

Here is a guide on which version (Mainline/Standard/Classic) is best for your hardware:

Why don't you try BlissOS or PrimeOS

hcr2018

Using tab to edit boot command delete quiet and use failsafe vesa to trace error on booting

hcr2018

Does it have an intel graphic card?

A little update...

Swapped systems and managed to get Phoenix OS installed.. however on my TV the resolution is off.

Does anyone know how to change this??

Thanks a lot!
