Essential apps to sideload on a Android TV?

by ThaWeeknd

New to the Android TV world and I'm wondering if there are more apps like TVZion or Aptoide TV to sideload on my box

My main must haves are x-plore file manager, puffin browser, TitaniumTV, Cyberflix, Emby, and MouseToggle. Highly recommend x-plore if you have a googledrive account. By adding your googledrive account to x-plore it makes it supper simple to sideload apps. I usually find apk's while browsing on my phone, so when I come across one I just upload it to my googledrive and then later just install it via x-plore when i'm ready.

I keep the Amazon App Store sideloaded on my Shield. It simplifies the process of sideloading Fire TV apps (which I fortunately need to do less and less), plus I have several games from back when they used to give out free apps that work great on the Shield.

I did NordVPN before, but it's in the PlayStore now.

I don't think I have any app sideloaded these days.

I'm not sure if they still need to be sideloaded, but from time to time I'll use Chrome and also Microsoft's RDP client, and I've found both work really well.

I use two apps to practice my foreign language skills:

1)TV Home 2.0 for Chinese TV 2)Mobdro which I use only with German TV Channels (mainly news) 3)I think I got emby from the Market.
