Third Party Launchers Blocked

by Dr0idAttack

I purchased a Google certified Android TV box made by my ISP. It runs on Android 9.0. It comes with a very ugly default custom launcher and it seems they've blocked third party launchers on it. When I try sideloading any APK for a different launcher it simply says "App not installed". I can't install them from the Play Store either. I've tried Leanback Launcher, ATV launcher, TVLauncher, HALauncher and a few more. Could someone help me out with this?

Thank you.

Have you tried using Hijack with Hal Launcher?

Exactly what model it is? Maybe you could boot into recovery mode by pressing some buttons combination and use ADB that way...

How are you sideloading? Android 9 requires you to "install unknown apps" on an app by app basis (Chrome, file explorer, etc.) The app you're using to do the sideload has to be enabled.

Shame on Google for not allowing you to take away their ad revenue stream.
