I've had the same problem on mine. Not just youtube but everywhere. Cant connect it to my google home network and therefore cant control it through my home either. Have contacted Nvidia several times to get it fixed and they've basically just shrugged and said sorry because I'm out of warranty. Wont be using their stuff going forward.
I got a 3rd party remote that came recommended too but it didnt fix the voice issue.
Might be related to the remote thats what happened to mine. I also have to push down really hard to go left/right/up/down. Its my second remote, got it replaced under warranty but it broke again. Unfortunately the game controller malfunctioned too it would always go right when connected. The shield is good but the controllers are terrible.
