I just updated to the new Android TV 9 and it seemed to work great but after a while all videos just show green other UI elements show up fine just videos are showing as a plain green screen

Can you share more details on this error?
My MiTV also faced the same problem a while back. Basically, the sides of the screen turned green and the video paused. No button worked until it was restarted. But now after a few update the problem is almost resolved.
Hold down the power button on the remote and select shut down; then turn it back on. I had the same problem and that’s what fixed it
Mi TV are supposed to get the latest Android update . Haven't you got the update yet?
