Question: Will I be able install Prime video app in any android tv from the android TV play store?

by mimax7

I'm planning to buy an android tv. And I belive that the prime video app is available in the android tv play store. Will I be able to install in the tv even if the app is not pre installed in the tv. For eg TCL brand tv has Netflix preinstalled but not prime. But it is an android tv. Will it allow to install prime video or throw some device not supported error?

No. It isnt available in the Play Store on all Android TV devices, but you should be able to sideload it if it isn't. It is pre-installed on Nvidia Shield TV.

I know for a fact and having the TV myself that if you're getting a Sony bravia TV yes you can install prime video from the playstore

I had to sideload it onto the Xiaomi Mi Box 3.

HyperGamers

You should be able to cast, if that's not suitable then sideload the Prime apk. In some cases I have heard it not work 100% but that information may be outdated.

TNT21

Its available on my Hisense Android TV straight from play store but ive been having issues signing in. They make you enter a verification code and I do that then it just sits there and does nothing.
