I don't get it. I already have routines that can turn off my lights, turn on my TV and play a specific show from Netlix. Plex and Hulu lack assistant integration but that's on their end, not Googles. So what exactly is this update bringing..?

The only thing I want is to be able to add my 3 Android TV boxes as Chromecast Audio targets. Why hasn't this happened yet?
That's great but my Xiaomi Mi Box gets to deep sleep after a while and you cannot find it to cast.
I'm still waiting for them to add support to turn TVs on and off... It only works with Shield. Not with ATV televisions 🤦♂️

I would like to be able to control kodi with google home. I can get some of the functionality using https://github.com/OmerTu/GoogleHomeKodi but it takes some setting up and sometime lags a bit so is not as quick as when using google home with netflix chromecast etc.
I just want to be able to prevent my kids from pausing the stuff I can to my Nvidia Shield TV. "Cannot communicate with your device" will has been happening on all Android TV devices for years. Come on Google, fix this shit already!
Android tv need more apps and a way to control any app even if not TV optimized like a virtual mouse cursor if the app does not accept controls..
Or just force all aps.to accept atv inputs
That a lot of apps the interface shourl works ok in TV interface but it will not work just because the app does not expect atv inputs
Just waiting for the Shield to be added into speaker groups...come on..
