Confirmed: remapping Netflix button on new remote is possible

by Max_Roc

In case anyone wants to remap the Netflix button, go grab Button Mapper by flar2 from the playstore. Upon opening, you'll click the "add button", and then assign whatever function or hotkey you want for it. I briefly tested it out as a hotkey to load Kodi, and it was working nicely. Currently have it set as a pause/play button. There's quite a numerous amount of remapping options with it, including disabling it.

Others that have used this app in the past will recall bugs that it presented after which Nvidia fixed in update. So far I'm not noticing any . Please share your experience and feedback if encountering any.

I downloaded this app to remap the tv button to launch an app instead of going to the channels input on my sony tv. The app works as it launched the app, but it also changed the input to channels first. So when I hit the back button, it went to the channels input instead of the home screen on Android TV.

Not sure how to fix this.

You must have posted this right after I was looking for it last night because I've been hoping this was possible since I saw the leaks. I know what I am installing tonight.

Can confirm it works! Its a little confusing launching the app the first time because it just mentions accessibility but doesn't actually tell you to go enable it in the settings under accessibility to progress. I can see how that can be a little confusing for most people when they click Ok and the menu on the right pops up and cancel does nothing.

Does anyone if it's possible to remap this button (or the top menu button) to change input on your TV via CEC?

I'm not sure how many of you use live channels but I am getting a bug in that app which makes scrolling through channels unusable. When you scroll down through channels it also goes to the next program and sometimes jumps days ahead on the program guide. It will also randomly pull up the sidebar when scrolling down. I can confirm it only happens when accessibility is enabled. Anyone else experience the same issue? know of any work around?

I have MI 43 inch 4k TV. and the minimal remote is useless. Netflix and prime buttons are useless. Can I change it?
