What's the pro's about the slow startup? I thought the TV needed that 30-60 seconds to start up but after a year with the TV I found out I could change to instant power on in the setting. Anyone know why it is like this?

Instant power on (aka standby) is often disabled by default on electronics because it consumes 5-10x the power while off. A lot of devices will only use 1-2 watts when they are "off" but often takes closer to 10 watts in instant power on mode. Sounds like a small amount, but with 100s of millions of devices worldwide it's environmentally very bad.
After update it takes like 20 to 30 seconds for hdmi signal to connect but tv turns on right away
