Anyone gotten Apple TV Plus on Android TV working? I almost did :(

So I got the Apple TV app working on my TV, but it requires the Amazon App store. Alright, I downloaded the amazon app store for Android. After doing this it then tells me I don't own this app... wtf. This is so incredibly frustrating, because the app is working and I can see everything in the background, but all of the amazon crap is preventing me from using it. Does anyone know of any work arounds to get Apple TV working on Android TV? Im tempted to go down the Firestick route since you can get Google Play services working on them.

Do you have a fire tv available to download the app to your account to first?

Many have tried. You can install and browse but it won't let you login. I also tried modded version I got off mibox telegram Page to remove the requirements for the Amazon requirements but still refuses to let us login. Gets hung up

It's infuriating that everywhere you go people say it works with Android TV. However, in the fine print you will see it says all "modern" Android TVs. For me, I have a Sony Android TV 4K working brilliantly that I bought back in 2013. Apparently this is too old and maybe lower than version 8. I'm still trying to figure out how to access their content but the attempt to get me to ditch my (very expensive) tv for a new one and ditch my phone for Apple just to watch this content is in poor taste.
