I just installed my new nVidia Shield TV Pro.
According to the offical specifications - https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/shield/shield-tv-pro/
It has Android 8 installed and no Android 9 is available through update
Alexa support does not exists, there is Alexa skill but it does not work / Shileld TV Pro is not supported
So, what do you think? What are your expiriences on this? nVidia offical support does not existis as I see, only community it seems...
Shield Experience 8.1 is Andoroid 9. Alexa support? Well, this is a Google Home device. Not sure how much Alexa functionality I would expect.
I use the shield skill and am able to turn the shield on and off (which in turn turns the tv on or off) but nothing more. Make sure you have enabled your nvidia shield account properly - mine did not work until that was done.
Ideally I would like to be able to tell alexa to launch youtube tv on cnn or even just say watch cnn but its not able to support that.
It has Android 9. But Nvidia calls this shield experience 8. Check in the about screen.
