Hoping someone can help. I have a TCL Android TV just gone to use Disney+ for the first time and I can hear music/background sounds however there is no voice coming through. I have no sound system connected just using the built in tv speakers. Netflix, Foxtel Stan VCL Kodi etc do not have a problem.
This often happens if the TV receives a 5.1 LPCM track (or decoded from a compressed track), and assumes it's stereo. Are you watching via an app built into the TV? If so you may just need to wait for an update.
If it's from an HDMI device, you may need to change the audio output settings to 2ch stereo
Which TCL tv do you have? Mine says it isn't compatible in the play store. I was able to sideload it and the app loads and I can look through the content but won't actually show any buttons to play any videos, just the background art.
I solved the problem by updating the TCL software using USB stick (local update)
Settings> About > contact us
This will give you the right website to visit for me it was tcl.eu and also the exact product number
Then you download the firmware Zip file. Unzip the file you will get another zip file inside.
Copy the zip file into a USB drive (FAT32 formatted)
Settings >about >software update > local update
After that audio for Disney+ will be working just fine

Only Disney+ has this audio problem. All other apps work as normal.
Hey, So good news, I have the exact same TV model and just last night TCL did an automatic system update and it fixed the issue! So just do a system update, just came out and it will for sure fix your problem!
I was able to fix the problem with disney+ not playing voices on the TCL android tv. I called their support and they had me download a firmware update that fixed the issue. Hope this helps everyone
