Bedroom TV Advice

by Dunjamon

Hi All, I've been looking to get a small TV in the bedroom and wanted to see what the best option is to get android on it. I looked at an android powered tv, bu they are all a bit too big for what I need. I looked at the FireTV stick and Shield stick, but they both require an additional power supply. Where I'm looking to put the TV there are no sockets and I want to minimise the amount of cabling. Is there a better option I'm missing?

Chromecast? I know the first one could be powered by usb. All media boxes does require a power outlet as far as I know.

Edit: how are you powering the tv?

pretty sure you can power the firestick via USB

Power strip / surge protector from the wall to behind the TV, plug in 6, 8, etc. devices. I guess I'm not understanding. A power strip will only take up one wall socket and the TV itself will have to take up one without a power strip.

I know that Roku Sticks will run from the USB port, but if it isn't powered 24/7 you have to wait for the device to boot every time you turn on the TV (same with any device running from non-24/7 powered USB ports on the TV)
