Tv with android tv built in vs tv+androidtv box

by dchiculat

So my girlfriend is looking for a tv for his parents around 200€, 32 inch, so the new xiaomi tv 4s4a is an option, but i noticed it is hd only (1366 x 768) and i dont know if this resolution is too low. I have been looking for alternatives, but i couldnt find much, as most of the google results give boxes, not tvs. If the tv + box is a better option, wich ones would you buy? Thanks in advance

Hi, in my opinion buying tv less then 1080p resolution won't be a good idea in 2019 because people usually use there tv for long time and 1080p is pretty much the standard now and 4k is the way to go and don't worry about os because Android TV has very bad rap for keeping there software update and in few years tv will become very slow and unresponsive so it's better to invest in a good tv and throw an android box which you can replace in few years down the road.

720p will be fine for a 32" TV unless you are sitting right on top of it or using it as a computer monitor. I would get the best TV i could afford and then buy an Android TV box separate. The TV's internal Android TV will probably start feeling slow or not support all the apps you want long before a decent box will.

I normally buy separates ie tv and box

However I want a small tv with smarts built in so can hang on kitchen wall and have less cable clutter

Advice on 32 or below w decent atv built in where the software is actually maintained?
