I just got my first androidtv - I got a MiBox S. I want to sideload apps on my device, so I'm following all of the guides online. They all say go to setting, security and restrictions, install unknown apps and turn it on, but when I get there, it just says in gray "No apps can perform this action". How can I install like a first app on it so I can sideload apps normally?
Having es file explorer shouldn't matter if you are able to select the apk file
You have to try sideload the app and install firstly, then it will fail and direct you to the settings to allow sideloading
It isn't working yet because toy are doing step 2 first

Thanks all! I just didn't understand I need to start by downloading a file explorer from the play store.
Are you sure the apk isn't corrupt ? Or doesn't support the Android version on your mi box
